About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Welcome to Protect Paws, an NGO dedicated to the care and welfare of stray dogs. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to ensure that every stray dog is healthy, safe, and respected in the communities they call home.

Street dogs play a vital role in protecting colonies, acting as natural guardians of their neighbourhoods. At Protect Paws, we recognize their contribution and aim to provide them with the care they deserve. From medical treatments and vaccinations to feeding programs and innovative solutions like QR Code collars, we work tirelessly to improve their quality of life while fostering a harmonious relationship between strays and communities.

Our efforts go beyond care and treatment—we strive to raise awareness, educate the public, and inspire individuals to make a difference. We aim to expand our reach and ensure that no stray is left behind. Together, we envision a kinder world where humans and stray dogs coexist in harmony.

Whether it’s through feeding initiatives, vaccination drives, emergency care, or our revolutionary dog collar system that tracks medical records, vaccinations, and identification, we are here to protect paws and heal hearts. Join us in our mission to protect and uplift the lives of our street companions, one paw at a time.

Our Story
The journey of Protect Paws began during a time of global uncertainty—the COVID-19 pandemic. When I was just 11 years old, the streets fell silent, and the world seemed to pause. Amid this stillness, I noticed the plight of stray dogs in my neighborhood. With people confined to their homes, these voiceless beings faced hunger and neglect.

It all started with one dog. My mother and I decided to step out and feed him, driven by compassion and a sense of responsibility. Day by day, our little act of kindness grew—one dog turned into five, and soon, a small community of strays relied on us for food and care. My father joined in, and together, we cycled around the colony, delivering meals to these furry companions.

We even tried to provide them with shelter, thinking they needed a warm and safe place during those difficult times. But to our surprise, the streets—the parks, corners, and sidewalks—were their true home. They found comfort there, surrounded by the familiarity of their environment. Instead of forcing them to change their habitat, we embraced their resilience and cared for them where they felt most at peace.
We loved them, petted them, and ensured they were fed and healthy. Those moments with them taught me something profound: stray dogs don’t need to be taken away from the streets to be happy—they need love, care, and respect, right where they belong.

As the idea of Protect Paws took shape, we began to imagine a future where every stray dog could be identified and cared for seamlessly. Through innovative QR Code collars, we aim to provide every dog with a unique identity, tracking their medical records, vaccinations, name, age, and more. This initiative ensures that communities can better understand and care for their street dogs, creating a stronger bond between humans and strays.

We are making this vision a reality. Today, Protect Paws is committed to ensuring that every stray in Delhi receives the care and attention they deserve, while staying rooted in the streets they call home.
